IND vs AUS, 4th Test: Nitish Kumar Reddy scores maiden hundred

India batter Nitish Kumar Reddy scored his maiden international hundred on Saturday during the third day of the fourth Test against Australia in Melbourne.

The 21-year-old reached the landmark in 171 deliveries, hitting nine fours and one six.

Nitish is now the third Indian batter, after Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal, to score a century during this Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Coming in to bat at number eight, Nitish has become the first Indian to score a century in Australia from that position. The previous highest score by an Indian batting at number eight down under was Anil Kumble’s 87 in 2008 in Adelaide.
