Luxury brand Hermès had a standout year in 2024, with substantial revenue growth and an enhanced industry position. The company’s consolidated revenue reached 15.2 billion Euros, reflecting a 15% rise at constant exchange rates and a 13% increase at current exchange rates compared to 2023. This success is largely attributed to Hermès’ long-term strategy, heritage craftsmanship, and loyal customers.

Hermès Expands Globally and Strengthens Workforce with Record Growth in 2024

Hermès expanded globally in 2024, improving its distribution network and focusing on sustainable development. The company hired 2,300 new employees, including 1,300 in France, bringing its workforce to 25,000. As part of its social responsibility, Hermès announced a ₹4 lakh (4,500 Euros) bonus for all employees at the start of 2025.

Regionally, Hermès saw significant growth, particularly in Europe (excluding France), with a 19% revenue increase driven by local demand and higher tourist traffic. New boutiques opened in Lille and Naples contributed to this growth. In France, Hermès experienced a 13% revenue boost, supported by both local and international customers.

The brand’s core business areas also thrived, with leather goods and saddlery leading the way with an 18% increase in sales. Ready-to-wear, accessories, and perfume sectors also showed strong growth, while the watches segment saw a 4% decline.

Beyond financial success, Hermès focused on inclusion and diversity, achieving a 7.12% recruitment rate for people with disabilities. Environmentally, the company made strides in reducing emissions and earned recognition such as the Grand Prix des Transparency Awards. For 2025, Hermès will focus on the theme “Drawing in all its forms,” reflecting its dedication to beauty and creativity as it continues to evolve and innovate in the luxury market.
