One more member of inter-state crime gang arrested

The Central Crime Branch sleuths of Mangaluru Police on Sunday (March 16, 2025) arrested one more member of an inter-state criminal gang and recovered one country made pistol, a live bullet and a mobile phone.

Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal at a press conference in Mangaluru on Sunday (March 16, 2025), gave the name of the accused as M. Abdul Faizal, 26, from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod district in Kerala.

Mr. Agrawal said arrest of Faizal was in continuation of arrest of five alleged inter-State notorious criminals from Kasaragod on March 12 and March 13. The police had recovered three pistols, six live bullets, 12.895kg of cannabis, three cars and other valuables, together worth around ₹40 lakh.

Police Commissioner said police have recovered a total of four country made pistols from the six accused persons. These six weapons are said to have been procured from Maharashtra. Further investigation is on find out intention behind procurement of these weapons, he said.
