Madrid Residents Cheer and Clap as Power Returns

Residents of a neighborhood plunged largely into darkness by a widespread electricity blackout celebrated on Monday evening as the lights turned back on. The national power company in Spain said early Tuesday that nearly all power had been restored nationwide, ending the 18-hour outage.
