Allu Aravind Affirms That He Is Not Part Of ‘Aa Naluguru’

Senior producer Allu Aravind held a press conference to share his perspective on the subject. He made it clear that he doesn’t align with the so-called ‘Big 4′ group that’s rumored to have a stronghold on theatres.
Aravind pointed out that he doesn’t own any theatres in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, aside from a stake in AAA Cinemas in Hyderabad. He also mentioned that he has leases less than 15 screens in Andhra Pradesh, and has no plans to renew them. Aravind criticized the timing of the recent announcement about the theatre shutdown, especially right before a major release featuring Pawan Kalyan, calling it a reckless move. He agreed with Pawan Kalyan’s suggestion that the industry should have reached out to CM Chandrababu Naidu much earlier.
Aravind distances himself from controversy emphasizing that he’s not part of any power group. He explained that drastic actions like shutting down theatres should only be considered as a last resort. He distanced himself from the recent meetings held with distributors, expressing his disagreement with the rushed decision-making process. Aravind also clarified that his production house Geetha Arts primarily focuses on film production and doesn’t have control over the film distribution. He wanted to isolate himself from the ‘theatres shutdown controversy‘ and criticized the recent meeting regarding the theatre strike.
