Android 16 Beta Arrives With 3 New Exciting Features: How To Use Them? – Trak.in

The much awaited, first Android 16 beta is released this week and it appears to be all ready for the users to give it a try.

If you are one of those who likes to try things first then this might be a perfect opportunity for you as you can test-run the latest operating system for Android.

As per this update, you get to test its new features including Live Updates and video-editing upgrades.

How To Try Android 16 Beta ?

If you are willing to try this newly launched then its main requirement is to have a newer Pixel phone.

For Android 16 Beta, any smartphone from a Pixel 6 and newer should work.

You simply have to go to the google.com/android/beta and opt-in, using the device on which you want to use the beta.

After  enrolling, the user will get updates as a part of the beta.

Once this is done, you are all ready to test all the new features.

New Features In Android 16 Beta

If you are wondering regarding the new features, it has a number of exciting updates.

Out of that one seems like a direct response to Apple.

In fact, it effectively appears to be Android’s answer to Apple’s Live Activities.

According to Google, it’s “a new class of notifications that help users monitor and quickly access important ongoing activities.”

In simple words, it shows things as they progress.

These notifications “are suggested only for ride sharing, food delivery, and navigation use cases,” Google noted to developers.

It appears that notifications like Live Updates could, eventually, prove to be super useful for folks following sports games or other such live events.

Besides this, they have a number of upgrades to the camera and media-editing abilities via Android 16 Beta, which, as Tech Radar aptly summarized, boils down to “improved support for high-resolution video recording and editing.”

If you are looking for the advanced video editors out there then the full details are available on Google’s blog post.
