Babil Khan Breaks Silence Over His Viral Video, Praises Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi & Others

Babil Khan is back on Instagram after deactivating his account following his viral video slamming Bollywood and his colleagues. Babil clarified that he named his industry peers to appreciate them, not to slam them, as was widely interpreted. Now, Ananya Panday, one of the actors named by Babil, has responded to his clarification post and showed her support towards him.

For the uninitiated, in the now-deleted video, Babil said, “What I mean to say is that, I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even… Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so f***ed. Bollywood is so, so rude. He also said, “Bollywood is the most fakest, fakest, fakest industry that I’ve ever ever been a part of. But there are few people that want Bollywood to be better…I got to show to you so much more, so much more, so much more. I have so much more to give you.” Although Babil has deleted the video and deactivated his account, it went viral after it was shared on Reddit.

Babil, who is now back on Instagram, shared a post where he stated, “Thank you so much. The video was extremely misinterpreted, I was trying to show support to @ananyapanday @shanayakapoor02 @gouravadarsh @arjunkapoor @raghavjuyal @arijitsingh” He continued, “I genuinely don’t have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire.”

Reacting to it, Ananya wrote, “Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in ur corner”

Siddhant Chaturvedi, too, reacted to the judgmental posts questioning his bond with Babil. He wrote on Instagram’s story section, “I usually never engage in sh*t written about me and my colleagues, but this one’s personal. So to all the Redditors, Gossip columns & media portals of the internet. Stop. We love to hate and hate to love, is this what we’ve come to? Stop looking for Drama here, All of us are working hard to bring drama to you on your screens. Shayad wahan thodi kami reh gai hogi ki aap hamari neeji zindagi mein wo dhoondhne lage ho? Koshish jaari hai hamari taraf se, Aur aap bhi Koshish karein ki koi bhi judgement dene se pehle ek baar soch lein. Peace out.” (sic)
