Girish, an auto-rickshaw driver in Bengaluru, is a living testament that humanity is still alive. He is winning plaudits after he tracked down a woman’s house to return a gold chain she forgot in his vehicle.
Sharing a video of Girish on X, Chitra, a founder of an organisation that teaches autorickshaw driving to women, said, “Meet Girish. The autorickshaw driver searched for me to return my lost chain. I came to Bengaluru from Mysuru yesterday and lost my gold chain. I was wondering where I had lost it, and it took me by surprise when Girish arrived at my door with the gold chain. I cannot thank him enough, as there are fewer auto drivers like him.”

Girish’s kind gesture towards his passenger is making waves on social media with the video garnering over 40,000 views. A user wrote, “Respects to such Auto Drivers who bring so much honesty, sincerity, respect to the profession and to the region they are working at.” Another user commented, “We will never see this kind of person on this beautiful earth in this filthy world let’s make Girish and his noble/ kind act viral , we need more of these kind of people.”

In September, a Gurugram autorickshaw driver was widely applauded after he returned a passenger’s forgotten bag containing a gold chain with a diamond pendant. The passenger forgot the bag in the vehicle while relocating. The bag also contained documents like an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and more.
