Canva rolls out Visual Suite 2.0 with new AI tools for content creation

Canva on Thursday launched Visual Suite 2.0, a new range of AI tools to help users with design and content creation.
Described as its biggest product launch since
was founded in 2012, Visual Suite 2.0 includes features that combine various design formats, such as documents, presentations, and websites, into a single platform.
The announcement was made at the company’s fourth Canva Create event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the Visual Suite 2.0, where creativity meets productivity, the biggest product launch since Canva was founded more than a decade ago. Each year, our community of 230 million people shares millions of ideas, and one we hear time and again is the desire to bring creativity and productivity into a single, seamless flow,” said Melanie Perkins, Co-founder and CEO of Canva, in a statement.
Since introducing its original Visual Suite two years ago, the platform claims to have added over 145 million users. The firm serves clients in over 190 countries, with a majority of its user base comprising Fortune 500 companies, such as T-Mobile, Salesforce, and FedEx.
As part of its latest update, Canva has introduced One Design, which allows users to build documents, presentations, and websites in a single format; Canva Sheets, a visual spreadsheet tool that integrates data and design with connections to platforms like Google Analytics and HubSpot.
Other tools include Magic Charts, which turn raw data into interactive visuals, while Canva AI serves as a voice-enabled assistant for generating and editing content, where users can generate text, slides, and images, as well as edit photos and resize designs, using just a prompt or their voice.
Last month, the company said it was expanding its footprint in India—its fourth-largest market—by introducing localised content and new AI-driven tools. Indian users created over 666 million designs on the platform in 2024, with popular designs spanning resumes, business proposals, pitch decks, and Instagram posts, the company said.
Founded in 2013 by Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams, Canva is an online design and visual communication platform, serving the creative and design needs of enterprises, small businesses, consumers, and students.
