ICC World Cup: Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh and entered into the semi-finals

Afghanistan created a milestone by entering into the semi-finals of ICC T20 World Cup. The Afghanistan team defeated Bangladesh by 8 runs through DLS method in Super Eight- Match 12 which was held at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincet.

The Australian team is out of the tournament as they were dependent upon the win of Bangladesh team. Afghanistan will play it 1st semi-final match with South Africa on 27th June at 6:00am (IST) atBrian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad.

Afghanistan gave a target of 115 runs to their opponent. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 43 runs in 55 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. He was sent to pavilion by Rishad Hossain.

Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets for his team and played with an economy of 6.50. He gave 26 runs in 4 overs.

Naveen-ul-Haq emerged as the player of the match as he gave 26 runs in 3.5 overs and took four wickets for his team.

Bangladesh opening batsman Litton Das hit 54 runs in 49 balls with the help of 5 fours and 1 six. Tanzid Hasan was sent to pavilion by Rishad Hossain at the score of 0.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz has become the top scorer in the history of Afghanistan cricket in Men’s T20 World Cup. Gurbaz has scored 434 till now in ICC T20 World Cup. He breaks the record of Shahzad who scored 402 runs for his team.
