Jailed Kashmiri leader Engineer Rashid to take oath as MP on July 5, as NIA says no objection in caveat | Delhi News

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has given its consent for jailed Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdul Rashid, also known as Engineer Rashid, to take oath as an MP on July 5. Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh will deliver a ruling on Rashid’s interim bail plea tomorrow.

While the NIA counsel did not object to Rashid’s request to take the oath, they suggested imposing certain restrictions. These include refraining from interacting with the media and completing all parliamentary activities within one day.
