Kurnool Collector assures medical care, support to injured girl

Kurnool district Collector P. Ranjit Basha has assured to provide the best possible medical care to the girl student of a government school, who was injured when a tree fell on her inside the school compound on Friday (February 28, 2025).
On the occasion of Science Day on Friday (February 28, 2025), a science exhibition was organised at the Zilla Parishad High School at Polkal in C Belagal mandal of the district. A meeting was held on the occasion and when the students were seated, a tree inside the school compound fell down on a group of students leaving seven of them injured.
While six of them suffered minor injuries, a class VIII girl Srilekha suffered injury on her spinal cord and was shifted to the local PHC in an ambulance. From there, she was shifted to the Government General Hospital at Kurnool.
On Saturday (March 1, 2025) morning, Mr. Ranjit Basha called on the student and enquired about her health with the doctors. The Collector asked the GGH superintendent Dr. Venkateswarlu to provide the best possible medical care. The Collector also spoke with the family members of the students and assured medical care and all possible support from the government.
