‘Low quality mixed protein’: ‘The Liver Doc’ fact-checks Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘healthy’ breakfast, post goes viral | Trending News
After turning heads by criticising actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and other celebrities, Dr Cyriac Abby Philips, popular as “The Liver Doc“, has now sharply criticised football legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s endorsing of a brand that promises a “balanced mix of protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals.” Ronaldo shared pictures of him using the breakfast mix, which led to trolling.
“A good way to start the day? A healthy breakfast. Herbalife Formula 1 delivers a balanced mix of protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals,” Ronaldo wrote on X.

Soon after the post stirred up attention on social media, Dr Philips slammed the football star for endorsing the product, calling it “low-quality protein.”
“There are far more, better protein supplements in the market that consumers can spend money on, definitely not Herbalife,” the doctor wrote in an X post. “Ronaldo may or may not know this, but his breakfast definitely DOES NOT involve Herbalife products and this is just a paid (I wonder how much!) promotion for the company,” he said.

No doubt. But Herbalife has no role in it.
Herbalife is a multilevel marketing pyramid scheme company which manufactures low quality mixed protein made from pea and soy and includes other dangerous botanicals, all the while… https://t.co/jsO4l5TH22

Reacting to the post, several users criticised Ronaldo for “influencing” millions. A user wrote, “His post has gone 52M views. Can’t imagine the number of people who is going to get affected by this.” Another user commented, “Survival or the fittest. Those who really think that celebs eat the stuff that they peddle will slowly drop out of the evolutionary race.”
“Once upon a time Ronaldo promoted water over Coke in that case he knows what is better, but what happened now doesn’t know,” a third user said.
Dr Philips, earlier this year, criticised Samantha when she recommended hydrogen peroxide nebulisation to her followers for a common viral fever rather than taking pills.
