Motorcycle-borne men open fire at Delhi petrol pump, supervisor sustains broken glass injuries | Delhi News

Four men on two motorcycles opened fire at a petrol pump in Delhi’s Gokulpuri area on Friday night, causing injuries to an employee, the police said.

According to the police, the incident occurred at Mukul Diesel Petrol pump around 10.30 pm. The petrol pump supervisor who was inside the office cabin sustained injuries caused by broken glass pieces after the accused fired 16 rounds of bullets at his cabin, the police said.

Rakesh Pawaria, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East), said that preliminary investigation suggested the incident was a fallout of a past rivalry. The owner of the pump, Harish Chaudhary, has been declared a “Bad Character” in the police records at the Gokulpuri police station.

“The bullets fired by one of the pillion riders broke the glass pane of the petrol pump office, causing injuries to supervisor, Anshul Rathi. He was immediately taken to the GTB hospital and is now out of danger,” said Rakesh Pawaria, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East).

The police said that on analysing the CCTV footage it was found that one bike fled towards Gokul Puri after the shooting, while the other went towards Loni roundabout.
