The movie is releasing Disney+ on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. For Indian fans, it is releasing on Jio Hotstar on the same day. The movie can be watched in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. The voice cast for the animated film brings together a talented and diverse group of actors. Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr. lead the cast, with Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, and Preston Nyman also lending their voices to key characters.

It is a prequel of The Lion King (2019). The movie was the digital remake of the original ‘The Lion King’, released in 1994.
