Prithviraj Sukumaran to direct Hrithik Roshan?

So far, Hombale Films has produced a handful of films in the South with Pan India releases. But it has already ticked off a wish from their bucket list as far as producing films are concerned. The producers are wasting no time before rapid strides in the industry. A couple of days ago, it was announced that they will be bankrolling a Hindi film starring Hrithik Roshan.

 
Prithviraj Sukumaran to wield the baton?

Ever since the announcement regarding Hrithik Roshan’s film was made, fans started the guessing game. Many are predicting that actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran is the leading contender to direct the action entertainer. Prithviraj is presently part of Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s SSMB29.  While he acted in Salaar Part 1: The Ceasefire, the actor will also play a significant role in Salaar Part 2 Shouryanga Parvam.  Moreover, it is being speculated that the actor has also committed to direct a film for the production house.  As such, everyone started to assume that he would wield the megaphone for the Hrithik Roshan-starrer. According to sources, Prithviraj shares a great bond with the production house, and producers too want Prithviraj to take up the film as a director. 

Prithviraj’s directorial reigns

So far, Prithviraj has directed three films in Malayalam, Lucifer, Bro Daddy and L2: Empuraan — and all the films were headlined by Mohanlal. There’s buzz that the third installments of Empuraan and Lucifer may go on floors next year.  Rumours are also rife that he may take up a new film with Mohanlal and all these are apart from his acting assignments. While Prithviraj loves to direct someone like Hrithik Roshan, it’s a catch-22 for the actor-director as he has prior assignments. It depends on the story and Prithviraj’s other commitments.
