The film shuttles between Africa, Thailand, Chennai and Delhi and is shot well. But it’s not just about adrenaline-pumping moments; Vijay’s performance as Gandhi and his wayward son Jeevan is a testament to his versatility. While he’s Vijay the superstar as Gandhi, he gets more to do as Jeevan, as it’s a better layered role. You can see that freed from fan expectations, he’s having a wonderful time playing the unhinged character.
