Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava inches towards Rs 200 crore club

Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna’s Chhaava which released on Valentine’s Day is performing well at the box office. Directed the Laxman Utekar, the film witnessed a bumper opening and managed to pull massive crowds to the theatre. Now, the film has achieved a massive feat at the Indian box office.

Chhaava’s Box Office Day 6 Collection

Chhaava is inching towards the Rs 200 crore club at the box office. Owing to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti holiday, the film earned Rs 32 crore on Day 6, as per a report by Sacnilk. This collection is more than what the film had collected on its opening day. Now, the India net collection of the film stands at Rs 197.75 crore and the worldwide collection stands at Rs 270 crore. Worldwide, the film is soon expected to enter the Rs 300 crore club. It is also on its way to being the first Bollywood film of 2025 to cross the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office domestically.

Meanwhile, Chhaava has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. On Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, MP CM Mohan Yadav made the announcement of exempting it from tax to encourage more people to watch the film.

Chhaava is the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Shivaji Maharaj’s son and the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy. It follows his battle with the Mughal Empire to save the Maratha Empire. Vicky Kaushal plays the titular character while Rashmika Mandanna plays Queen Yesubai. Actor Akshaye Khanna has essayed the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
